THIN-GEM is a neutron detector for neutron physics which can measure both two-dimensional image and TOF (time of flight) information. We also sell the readout substrate alone.

Neutrons flying into the cathode plate coated with the ¹⁰B layer (One of the stable isotope of boron), are converted to charged particles. GEM amplifies electrons generated by this way, to tens of thousands of times.Using GEM signals, THIN-GEM determines coordinates and measures TOF by the readout substrate, then transfers the data to the PC via SiTCP. We sell the readout substrate alone as MPGD universal readout substrate with 256ch. [BBTX-043]
