SiTCP is a technology that connects the front end of physical experiments to a PC via Ethernet, and was developed by Dr. Tomohisa Uchida.
- Stable, high-speed communication is possible with hardware-based TCP/IP communication
- Compact circuit scale with few external components and easy implementation
- Easy to use UI
It has the following characteristics and is provided as a Xilinx FPGA library. SiTCP-XG inherits these features and supports 10Gigabit Ethernet.
As a feature:
- Small circuit scale: Supports all FPGAs of the Kintex7 and Virtex7 series.
- No processor required: No MicroBlaze or Zynq required.
- No driver required: Connection with a PC is possible using only a socket program.
- Fast: Operates at more than 90% of the bandwidth (*1) to achieve high-speed data transfer.
The solutions we can provide are for example,
- Simultaneous transfer of large-capacity, multi-channel events in physical experiments
- Uncompressed transmission of diagnosis images
- High resolution video transmission
- etc.
*1 Actual transfer speed depends on client PC and network configuration.
